The history of the Munch Museum is full of drama, great cultural-and surprising events. Did you know that the rottweiler Ivan lived at the Munch Museum between 1967 and 1972, and got dog food in pay to guard the building? And do you really know what happened when Scream and Madonna were stolen in 2004? In the last major exhibition at Tøyen before the new museum opens in Bjørvika, we summarize important parts of Norway's cultural history. Various professionals and contemporary artists contribute with new perspectives on the history of the museum, and the exhibition is followed by a closing event. Join us on the journey from Edvard Munch's testamentary gift and museum opening in 1963, to today's museum.

EXIT! at the Munch Museum is open between 10:00 and 17:00 at Tøyengata 53, 0578 Oslo.
